Nobel Peace Prize

As I have never had the intellectual curiosity to look at the Nobel Peace Prize website, it seemed fitting to take a look. Here is a link to the method behind the madness: nominating and selecting Peace Prize Laureates. A list of all the Laureates of the past can be found here. Exploring the site further, there are many interesting tidbits, such as the fact that Mahatma Gandhi was never a Laureate and that 23 organizations have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. I’m amused by the cynicism found in Alfrfed Nobel’s aphorisms. The selection of videos (interviews, lectures, ceremonies) of the winners also looks promising.
